Day 5

Day 5 which is our last day :( When you are in a holiday, the time always passes so fast.

Love traveling with the boy cause we can see each other 24hours a day and he eats what i eat.

So i love planning itinerary for our trip cause i can always choose where i wanted to go :)

In Hong Kong, there's a In-Town Check-in Service provided at the Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station. If you are taking a late flight back, you can actually check-in your luggage at the counter and leave for shopping!

This service is really convenient as we do not need to lug our luggage with so many stuffs to the airport.

Once you check-in your luggage, your air ticket will also be provided so you do not need to queue at the airport check-in counter anymore and you can reach the airport later as well.

This service is free if you have an airport express ticket.

First stop of the day will be an old school cha chan teng. This place appears in quite a number of TV shows and movies as the backdrop. One of which will be Young and Dangerous 古惑仔.

Seating will be at the 2nd level only. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded! Waited for around 15mins for a table and so we took lots of photos outside the area.

Ordered French Toast for myself and it taste really good but artery clogging and I Don't Care! Who cares about being fat when overseas.

The french toast is wrapped with egg and deep fry. It is also accompanied with butter and maple syrup.

The boy ordered this Noodle Soup with Shrimps. It looks simple but he says its good enough for breakfast. The noodle is springy and its filled with lots of shrimps. Just that it tasted a little bland.

I risked taking this photo because the shop stated no photography is allowed.

Forgotten to bring the boy to Yau Ma Tei Police Station for Hong Kong Drama Scene.

This gives us reason to go Hong Kong again right BB? :D

Tai Cheong Bakery is famous for their egg tarts. The egg tarts are all freshly baked so you get to have fresh from the oven egg tarts.

I love the crust of the tart as it is the crumbly kind. Tasty egg filling and buttery crust. LOVE IT!

We bought 6 egg tarts. 2 for us to eat on the spot and the other 4 back to airport.

If you wish to pack it in a box, it will be a box of 8.

Tai Cheong Bakery has a number of outlets in Hong Kong. The outlet we went to is just right behind Lan Fong Yuen. So you can get a cup of milk tea and eat it together with the egg tart.

Yes! So we tried Mak's Noodle at central's branch. Im sure we can really eat. Food after food and food.

Mak's Noodle has a number of branches owned by the different members of the family.

It is a Michelin Starred Wanton Noodle Store.

The small bowl of noodle cost HKD 37 (SGD 6.30). Its really expensive for the portion served.

The noodles was cooked till springy and the soup tasted good but i find that there's a weird taste in the wanton. The wanton was big and filled with shrimps tho.

We both preferred the next wanton noodle we tried.

Brought the boy to try their competitor just right opposite.

Please just have Wanton Noodle from this place instead.

Look at the number of years they had appeared in Michelin Food Guide.

It has a consistency of 6 years.

There are a few reasons for us to choose this place. The serving here is definitely larger and cheaper at price HKD 26 (SGD 4.40).

We both shared a bowl cause we each had a bowl of wanton noodle at Mak's. The boy said if not having a bowl of noodle at Mak's, he will definitely have a bowl here himself.

The noodle is definitely springy as well. But the highlight is the Wanton! Each bowl comes with 3 wantons and it is GOLF BALL SIZED! All filled with shrimps! The size of the wanton is definitely a winner! Each bite is so juicy just like many shrimps dancing in your mouth.

They have other options as well like Noodle with Fish Balls, Beef Balls or mixed.

We will definitely have another bowl of noodle with Wantons next time.

Afterwards, we headed to IFC mall for some shopping and back to Causeway Bay to buy souvenirs back.

Saw this Mobile Softee when we are looking for the particular shop that I wanted to go at Causeway Bay. I immediately and excitedly tell the boy that I wanted to go.

A Softee cost HKD 9 (SGD 1.50). It is so cute to have softee from a mobile store.

The store that I was looking for is actually Koi Kee Bakery. They had an outlet at Causeway Bay as well.

They are famous for the almond cookie and lots of other pastries.

The pastry needs no introduction as they are so famous. You get to sample all of the pastries in their shop and choose the one you like.

We bought the famous almond cookie and the boy bought the one with egg yolk. He likes it very much as he said it tasted like pork floss 肉松 .

The products are from Macau and they had a number of outlets in Hong Kong as well which can be found at the website I stated below.

I know in Singapore you can also find Koi Kee but it is still cheaper in Hong Kong. And we spot many Singaporeans buying BIG BAGS of pastries back.

Went back to our hotel to get the pastries that we bought cause we don't wish to carry so many things with us while shopping. Carrying the pastries to the airport is better than carrying both pastries and luggage there.
